Care Instructions

To clean your Blackwood & Stone board, wash with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. For a more natural clean, sprinkle coarse salt over the surface and scrub gently with half a lemon — a simple, natural antibacterial method. Allow the board to dry completely before re-oiling.

Once dry, apply a small amount of food-safe board oil and work it evenly into the timber using a lint-free cloth. Wipe away any excess oil. For a deeper feed, allow the first coat to absorb overnight, then remove any remaining oil in the morning. Reapply oil whenever the board begins to look dry or dull.

Timber boards are designed to be used and cared for over time. Unlike plastic boards, which can shed microplastics into food, a well-maintained timber board will age beautifully and can last for decades.
